Intensive Trauma Recovery Retreat for First Responders
Thank you for your interest in supporting Haymarket Center’s Intensive Trauma Recovery Retreat for First Responders.
This is the first of a series of educational seminars and retreats for uniformed first responders and essential personnel that focuses on resilience, health and wellness, and stress and trauma that is specific to responder culture. Haymarket Center has provided the platform for this to happen in the Chicago area.
The retreat will allow a small group of guest participants (less than 25) to engage in an intensive training that involves some intervention related to first responder trauma and resilience. It involves classroom discussion/lecture, as well as working in a debriefing type of small group setting, and having the opportunity to individually and privately participate in a session of EMDR. The faculty are all first responder/essential personnel specialists, culturally competent and experts in their fields of trauma and first responders. All faculty are volunteering their time and talents.
Our next retreat will take place May 21-24, 2023. To get information on registration, you can fill out this form and Dr. Kammie Juzwin will follow up with a quick assessment and next steps. Learn more about the trauma retreat.
Tentative Upcoming Dates for 2023: July 23-26, October 8-11, and November 12-15.
